Hi,

My name is David Saavedra, and I have been working as a freelance photographer since 2016. I love taking portraits of people and doing fashion editorials. Photography can be a very solitary profession and I feel comfortable interacting with other people. Doing fashion editorials is something I enjoy not only for the joy of taking photos but also for the interaction with the models and the rest of the team. I like to take portraits with a classical approach to composition and light, inspired by photographers like Sally Mann and Vincent Peters. Besides portraits and editorials, I like working on personal projects as well, mostly with analog photography.

A few years ago, taking photos of my children, I realized how fast time passes and how important it is to document what’s important in life. In the end, all we got left of our past are our memories. That’s when I got passionated by photography and started to take a great interest in documenting not only my own life but others’ as well.

I currently work in and around Gothenburg, Sweden.
